NextgenInnov8’s WSIS 2023 in association
with ISDS bring to you War of Words, a debate competition, where intellect meets passion, and words transform into weapons of persuasion. As the participants take centre stage, their eloquence and wit will ignite the room, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats. With each well-crafted argument
Brace yourself for an adrenaline-fueled spectacle, where words have the power to shape destinies and ignite a spark that will linger long after the debate's final words. Are you ready to join the battle? and fiery rebuttal, ideas will collide, alliances will form, and champions will rise.

WHO SHOULD JOIN
The Competition welcomes students’ participation in two distinct categories:

JUNIOR:
6TH TO 8TH STD

SENIOR:
9TH TO 12TH STD

FORMAT OF THE COMPETITION:

Round 1:
The Preliminary Elimination Round

In this initial round, all participants compete.

The primary goal is to evaluate and shortlist participants for further rounds.

Participants present their argumdents through video.
-
Judges assess their performance, and only the top performers proceed.

Round 3:
ISDS workshop + Seminal Round
-
This round combines a workshop and a semifinal debate.
-
Workshop: Participants attend a workshop organized by ISDS (Indian Schools Debating Society) to refine their debating techniques.
-
Semifinal Round: After the workshop, participants engage in a highly competitive semifinal debate.
-
A limited number of participants qualify for this round, and they showcase their enhanced debating abilities.

Round 2:
The secondary Elimination Round

Following the primary round, the competition moves to the secondary elimination stage.

Participants present their arguments through video.
-
Judges further evaluate and rank the participants.
-
Only the top performers advance to the next round.

Round 4:
The Grand
Finale
-
The grand finale is the climax of the competition.
-
It features the top finalists who have demonstrated exceptional debating skills throughout the earlier rounds.
-
Participants engage in a final, high-stakes debate.
-
The top 16 individuals will participate in the grand finale of War of Words,
which will be hosted in the month of January 2024 at Pune.
